Zwembadwijzer was founded by pool owners for pool owners. We know how frustrating it is to have a cloudy pool, not understand what the pH is doing, and waste money on wrong products and advice from people who want to sell rather than help.
Who we are
The Zwembadwijzer editorial team consists of experienced residential pool owners and water treatment specialists. We have made all the mistakes ourselves: too much chlorine, wrong pH correction, pumps we should have replaced but did not. We turn that experience into practical, honest content.
Our mission
Every pool owner deserves access to reliable, understandable information about pool maintenance. Without sales pitches, without unnecessary products, without complicated jargon.
We answer the questions you have when you are standing next to your cloudy pool on a Saturday afternoon wondering what to do:
- What do I do now?
- How much of what?
- In which order?
- Which product is actually worth it?
How we review products
We assess products on:
- Effectiveness: does it do what it promises?
- Ease of use: can an ordinary pool owner work with it?
- Value for money: are there better alternatives for the price?
- Availability: available from Dutch and Belgian retailers?
We do not accept paid positive reviews. Our opinions are based on practical experience, not sponsorship money.
